P.S. You know - like a zooid.
I hate to say this, but ... LOL! (really)
Also, like banana slugs.
(I remember that from Marty's A.P. Biology class. Also, "Meiosis! Mitosis!" yelled while twiddling your fingers, which actually never seemed very helpful. Also, pregnant stick figures. Also, you never coming to class...or were you even enrolled in my class period? That would explain why you were never there. Hmm. Poor memory.)
I don't remember what the twiddly fingers meant, either. Charles could probably tell us, but I recently tried to help him study for a microbiology class (or something like that) and let's just say it was far beyond anything I ever knew/learned. Part of it, honestly, is that they have discovered such a slew of genetic crap since we were in high school. Charles doesnt think thats a very good excuse.
I did go to A.P. biology (at least more than more of my classes senior year). I even got a good score on the A.P. test. Though I did a tricky cheaty thing that may have helped. Remember how all the study tests had options in the essay section and that actual test had four short essays that you HAD to answer? Well, I did a decent job on three, but I could hardly remember ANYTHING about slime molds. So I wrote an introduction, trying to convincingly use what little I knew, and than made it look like I was getting into the real meat of the essay and broke it off in mid-sentence as though Id run out of time (which I certainly hadnt). Id love to know how much difference that sneakiness made.
I was enrolled in A.P. chemistry, but I honestly dont think I went to that class more than twice. Were you in THAT class?
OOOOHHH ââ?¬â?? pregnant stick lady sans fetus = kwashiorkor.
By the way, I thought banana slugs were hemaphrodites...
Hmmm. Now that you mention it, I think that maybe banana slugs are kind of like hermaphrodites, in that they can choose which sex they feel like being at any given time. Or maybe they are indeed hermaphrodites, plus they can impregnate themselves and bud asexually. Or maybe they're just GROSS! All I know is that there is something really funky going on with those dang slugs. They're not just your run-of-the-mill freaks of nature.
P.S. I like your tricky A.P. test maneuver.
