Why the surge? And why the link to Zeldman in this post?

It’s all so confusing … and mysterious!

I was brought here by the Zeldminem article too, and now I’ve subscribed to Tiny Pineapple in NetNewsWire. I like the design of the site a lot.

So has it leveled back out?

Are you going to stop talking to us little guys now that you are soopafamous?

Did it cost you extra in hosting?

    Anyway, a well deserved 15 minutes. I hope it’s 20.

I am one of those who prodded Zeldman with an email. He had already known about Zeldminem, but was having some trouble deciding how to present it.

That’s me above, the Zeldman prodder, the preview button didn’t carry over my name and details for some reason.

I can understand the feeling. Last month, German magazine Spiegel posted a sidebar link in an article to a collection of scans I had posted of a large Mac advertising insert from 1984.

In the two years it had been online, the home page for the scans had gotten 6,000 hits. A week after the Spiegel link and it was over 25,000.

It wasn’t a good week for our server or the office’s bandwidth. ? :?)
